Named Top Lobbyist by The Hill newspaper four consecutive years, Mike Fulton is a seasoned government relations executive. He has served as an executive for several PR agencies and spent nearly a decade on Capitol Hill working for two members of the U.S. House of Representatives as associate counsel to the House Appropriations Committee, press secretary, and special projects assistant. He has led government relations and lobbying efforts on behalf of companies, universities, medical centers, hospitals, associations, and nonprofit organizations.
Mike teaches a master’s level online course in public affairs for West Virginia University’s Integrated Marketing Communications program. He is also a frequent op-ed contributor in The Hill, Campaigns and Elections, CQ Connectivity, and Bloomberg.gov.
He is an active member of the Grassroots Professionals Network and Public Relations Society of America National Capital Chapter.
Mike received a Bachelor of Science degree in Journalism from the West Virginia University at Parkersburg.
He enjoys landscaping and reading mysteries in his spare time. Mike resides in Kensington, MD, with his wife. They have two adult daughters and a rescue pup named Teddy.
