Metropolitan Washington, DC — Addis Communications President & CEO Karen Addis, APR, was elected to the 2020 Public Relations Society of America-National Capital Chapter (PRSA-NCC) Board of Directors, the largest and most active PRSA chapter in the country. Addis will serve a two-year term, beginning in January 2020 and ending in December 2021.
“I’m looking forward to once again becoming involved in the chapter at the board level,” said Addis. “I’ve been an active member of PRSA-NCC for a number of years, including serving on the board as vice president in the 1990s. I have always received so much in return, ranging from gaining valuable career advice and leadership skills to new business leads to forging life-long friendships. At this point in my career, it’s about giving back to my profession and serving as a mentor to the next generation.”
PRSA-NCC represents many of the top leaders in the public relations and communications field, with more than 1,200 members in the Washington, DC metropolitan region. The parent organization, PRSA, is the world’s largest organization for public relations professionals with nearly 32,000 professional and student members.
